About

Just Me

Hello, my name is Yuna and welcome to my blog, y u n a i s h *.

I first opened y u n a i s h * in December 2007 in hopes of creating my own space in the Web. However, due to lack of knowledge and technical difficulties, I was forced to close and open my blog a few times along the way. So I suppose one could say the current y u n a i s h * was officially launched on 21 February 2010 with the entry, “Love-Hate Relationship.”

Like many other bloggers, I heart photography and cooking. I have always enjoyed taking pictures, as long as I can remember. My interest became more serious when I took Photography courses at Emory as elective courses. My professor, Lynn Marshall-Linnemeier, opened my eyes and led me to become a better photographer. My cooking experience started less than a year ago when Hyeon and I started living together. Being insufficient in the kitchen, the only dish Hyeon knew how to make was Ramen. Since we couldn’t live on Ramen for the rest of our lives, I put on the apron and became the chef.  (For those of you wondering, Hyeon took the role of dish boy!)  Ultimately, I combined my passion for photography and cooking. Food photography is one of my favorite genre of photography and that’s why you will see a collection of food pictures in my Flickr page.

I was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea for the most of my life. I came to the United States as an international student few years ago. I went to high school in Philadelphia, PA, but moved three years ago to Atlanta, GA for college. Currently, I am an undergraduate student at Emory University, studying Anthropology & Human Biology.

I have a boyfriend named Hyeon, who is beyond amazing. He taught me so much and allowed me to grow up as a person. I often refer to him as Honey Jeong, which is simply an anagram of Hyeon. Hyeon and I have two adorable dogs named Cookie Dough and Honey Bee.
